There are some
parts of the world that, once visited,
get into your heart and won’t
go, India is such a place…
You will be stunned by the
richness of the land, by its lush
beauty and exotic architecture, by
its ability to overload the senses
with the pure, concentrated intensity
of its colors, smells, tastes, and
sounds. It will be as if all your
life you had been seeing the world
in black and white and, when brought
face-to-face with India, you will
experience everything re-rendered
in brilliant Technicolor.
We live in a world where stress and
an unbalanced materialistic focus
make the quest for spirituality grow
in urgency. India, its people, its
infrastructure, and indeed its very
soil, encourage and breed Spiritualism,
allowing spiritual traditions to thrive,
flourish and prosper. Ancient philosophies
like sciences of yoga, ayurveda, vastu,
(Indias counterpart of chinese Feng
Shui) are all worldy recognised, practiced
and respected. A recent study in the
US showed that 20 million americans
practiced some form of yoga on a regular
basis. That shows the thirst for spiritual
inquiry and holistic wellbeing westerners
are seeking.
India is a "must" for the
explorer of ancient cultures, sacred
places and the Spiritual Traditions
associated to each of these cultures
of Ancient India. You may also want
to visit some of the many ashrams
in India.
Travelling
in India is an adventure in itself
and nothing like what you have experienced
in any country...

Kerela |
Tha land of backwaters,
beaches and ayurvedic...
The backwaters of Kerela is a unique
product of Kerela and is found nowhere
else in the world. Backwaters are
a network of lakes, canals and estuaries
and deltas of forty-four rivers
that drain into the Arabian sea.
The backwaters of Kerela are a self
supporting eco-system teeming with
aquatic life. The canals connect
the villages together and are still
used for local transport. Over 900
km of this labyrinthine water world
is navigable.
The most exciting thing on the backwaters
of Kerela, however, is the kettuvallom
( traditional houseboat ) which
has become the most popular tourism
product in India today. In a land
as waterbound as Kerala it wouldn't
be an unusual sight, but for a visitor
to God's Own Country a houseboat
gliding along the vast green expanse
of the backwaters is the most amazing
spectacle in the world. Even more
enchanting is a holiday in the houseboats
of Kerela.
Kerela has a 600 km long shoreline
dotted with some of the finest,
most charming beaches of the world,
coconut groves, natural harbors,
lagoons and sheltered coves. All
of it as peaceful as the rest of
the land, washed by the pleasant
tropical sun and as pristine as
ever.
